Still Life Malbec 2020 20L

The fruit for our 2020 Still Life Malbec was sourced from BioGro certified organic vineyard no. 5084 in Marlborough. Here, the fruit was harvested by hand, destemmed into stainless steel and given just a handful of gentle punchdowns before being left to wild ferment in tank. After a week it was pressed into aged French oak barrels (0% new) and left until it was ready to be kegged in mid-July 2021. Unfiltered, unfined (vegan) and with no added sulphites at any stage - this wine is as 'natural' as it comes, but sound as a pound, totally stable and totally ageworthy too.

Intense purple-black in colour, it's vibrant, fresh, taut and firm on the palate,  with dark blue-black spectrum fruit, intense perfume and great length to boot. This wine is everything anyone should expect of Malbec, and our only regret is not making enough to put some into bottle too!
