Still Life Wrekin Vineyard Pinot Noir 20L

This wine hails from the Wrekin Vineyard in Marlborough - BioGro certified organic #5732 - a fully biodynamic working farm located on the Southern Clays of Marlborough. Organic since inception, the farm is owned and operated by Andrew and Jan Johns and the vineyard is managed by biodynamics specialist Jeremy Hyland with all vineyard work being completed by an entirely in-house crew.

100% Pinot Noir, selection massale (multi-clone), hand harvested, majority destemmed, then wild fermented in stainless steel for approximately 3 weeks. Pressed then matured in aged French oak barriques for just shy of 12 months before being kegged and bottled. 

Stylistically this is a serious Pinot Noir; dense, savoury, brambly and with good structure too. It's bodied, as you may expect from Southern Clays soils, but with bright fruit and an elegant, fine tannin structure too.
